City Leaders Roll and Responsibilities
- Be a “Preparedness Role Model” to your city
- Follow guidelines established by PN to maintain consistency city to city
- Be the “Go To” person
- Participate in a monthly PN City Leader’s monthly teleconferences
Meetup & Facebook
- Manage the online Meetup site (Weekly)
- Vet & Approve new members to your city Meetup and Facebook sites
- Email Members by using Meetup with PN announcements
- Promote PN Main website by using your Affiliate links (25% comes back to you)
- Promote Giveaways that PN is promoting
- Help with the goal to get EVERYONE to join PN website… (To protect PN from social media blackouts)
- Grow the Meetup group in your city
- Post ads into Craigslist’s Groups section about your meetup weekly
- Find free ways to promote your monthly group meetings
- Hold at least one MeetUp event per month hosted by YOU
- Coordinate the location and arrangements for all Meetups
- Delegate as needed
Communications
- Appoint a local PN City Communication Leader, to: Bravo65/AmRRON
- Promote OPSEC & COMSEC within your city
- Promote use of PN Alert App
- Create and Manage the city Signals Operating Instruction (SOI)
- Ham Radio. Blue = We are waiting on AmRRON
- Schedule a regular HAM radio 2M net
- Create a Unique channel programming for the Baofeng radio
- A template for all PN with 117 channels already programed
- You need to identify 1-10 channels to add that are specific to your city
- Coordinate having everyone’s radios programmed with this upload
- Facilitate having at least one city member with HF (long distance) radio capability
Zello
- Schedule a monthly Zello Net for your city
- Host or delegate to Net Control Operator(s) (NCO)
- Use the PN main Zello Channel for this monthly meeting
- Create a Zello channel for your city to be used for other activities
City Meetup rules
- At least one regularly scheduled MeetUp per month hosted by the City Leader
- Everyone is welcome
- Free to attend monthly meeting
- Must use MeetUp to schedule & communicate details
- Start On-Time and End On-Time
- Involve Food
- City Leader has final call on appropriate topics and subject matter
The process to Approve & Remove a City Leader
Approve
- USA Citizen
- Driver License in state
- Prospective City Leader submits application & resume to PrepperNet Leadership to review
- Submit $100 earnest money with application to applied to City Fee
- 21+ Years old
- Live within 20 miles of City
- Pass background Check
- We would like you to hold a Concealed Carry Permit (CCP) for the state
- All City Leaders have to be approved by PN
- Anytime a City Leaders has to step down, they should notify PN asap
- City Leaders can recommend a replacement but PN has final approval
Remove
- Convicted of any crime
- Loss of CCP
- Voted out by 2/3 of city membership by secret ballet
- At discretion of PrepperNet Leadership Team
- No MeetUps scheduled for more than 3 months
- Any mishandling of PrepperNet Funds
- Unanimos vote of 3 City board members
Rules on local sponsorships & money
- City leader is responsible for all funds
- Sponsors must be approved by PrepperNet Leadership Team
- All sponsorship money stays with city as long as PN City is active and paid up
- Merchandise purchased with PN City funds belong to PrepperNet City
- If PrepperNet City does not renew yearly all funds & property are forfeited to PrepperNet Central
How to create a local Leadership Team & Advisory Team
- Each PN City is required to have a 3 member board which does not include the city leader
- This board must be in place within 6 months of PN City start
- The board is elected initially by vote of members
- 50% of active members listed in MeetUp required for a quorum to vote
- Board membership is for 1 year with 3 year maximum term
- Only one Board member is up for election per year, rotation to keep check/balance
- No family members on board at same time
- Unanimous vote of Board required to overrule PN City Leader
